Sprenger Health Care Systems is a family-owned and family-run business. It's story begins with Grace Sprenger, who opened a 26-bed nursing home in Amherst, Ohio in 1959. A passion for caring for the elderly and a tradition of commitment to quality healthcare have helped us evolve into Northeast Ohio's premiere network of Rehabilitation, Nursing, Assisted Living, and Independent Living Centers.

Over the years, Sprenger has established a reputation for civic concern and involvement in each of the communities we serve. This includes support for the Cancer Society's Relay for Life, Alzheimer's Association, Heart Association, Hospice, and the Chamber of Commerce, just to name a few.

Members of our leadership team live in the community and belong to Rotary, Kiwanis, Lions and many other service organizations. Our belief that we have an obligation to make our community a better place is a cornerstone of the Sprenger philosophy.
