Vivian Rivera - Amherst Manor
Congratulations to Vivian Rivera, Employee of the Month for January at Amherst Manor Retirement Community. Vivian has been employed at Amherst Manor for 15 years working in the housekeeping/laundry departments. Vivian makes time to help everyone and will help interpret when called upon by Social Services and Admissions. Her excellent customer service skills are appreciated by the residents, their families, and staff. Vivian always has a ready smile for everyone, is dependable, and a great team player. Debra Weese - Autumn Aegis
Autumn Aegis is pleased to announce that Debra Weese, Laundry Aide, has been chosen as January's employee of the month. Debra has been at Autumn Aegis for almost a year. She is known by her co-workers as a very pleasant, outgoing person, dedicated to her work and an excellent team member. Debra state, "She is a people person and likes to interact with her

Rachel Mays - Grande Village
Rachel Mays, LPN, has been chosen as Employee of the Month for January at Grande Village. She has been employed at Grande Village as an LPN Charge Nurse since November 2010. Rachel has contributed greatly in anchoring the 300 hall nursing team. She works efficiently under pressure and rolls easily with whatever the day brings. Residents and families consistently compliment her for the kind and compassionate way she provides care and leadership on the hall. Rachel is a true asset to the GV team! Congratulations Rachel on a job well done!
Crystal Mark - Horn Nursing Center
Congratulations to Crystal Mark, Activities Assistant/STNA, for being selected Horn Nursing Center January Employee of the Month. Crystal started working at Horn in June of 2006. She is a very hard worker and provides excellent care for our residents. Crystal says one of her favorite things about her job is the residents and getting to know them and their families. Congratulations again Crystal for all of your dedication and love that you show our residents! Keep up the great work!
Dana Phillips - Smithville Western
Congratulations to Dana Phillips, STNA, Employee of the Month of January at Smithville Western. Dana joined our team in the past year and hit the ground running. He is friendly and supportive of all co-workers and residents. He works every day to bring a smile to the faces of those around him. Dana works primarily on the skilled rehab hall and provides encouragement to those receiving therapy and trying to get stronger. Thanks for all you do. Keep up the good work.
Olivia Presti - Elms Retirement Village
Congratulations to Olivia Bradish, STNA, Employee for the Month of January at Elms Retirement Village. She has been an STNA at the Elms since April 2011 and is much appreciated by her peers as well as by the residents at the Elms. Co-workers comment on how she is a very hard worker and a team player. When needed she is always willing to help. Olivia is also very well rounded and enjoys spending time with them. Olivia states, “My job is rewarding in many ways, I like that I go home feeling like I did something important for someone and made a difference in the residents lives.” Congratulations Olivia and Thank You for all that you do!
Stephanie Smith - Heather Knoll
Heather Knoll Employee of the Month for January 2012 is Stephanie Smith. Stephanie started at Heather Knoll about a year ago as an STNA and about 3 months ago transitioned into our Activity Dept. Stephanie is described by her co-workers as very compassionate, caring, hard working and flexible. She always takes extra time to spend with our residents and continues to pick up shifts on the floor, while still working in Activities. Stephanie can always be counted on to get her assigned duties completed in a timely manner and takes initiative to complete other tasks, as planning, set up or one-on-one visiting in her down time. Stephanie is a graduate from Kent State University with her Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology and was born and raised in Lisbon, Ohio. Thank you Stephanie for being an outstanding employee. We are happy to have you on our staff, keep up the good work!
Melinda Fox - Rose Lane
Melinda Fox, STNA, has been selected as the Employee of the Month of January at Rose Lane. Melinda has been at Rose Lane since September 20, 1993. She is very dedicated and a hard worker. Melinda provides excellent care to all the residents and families. She continues to be an asset to Rose Lane and we are glad she is part of our team. Congratulations, Melinda!!
Pam Justice - Main Street Care Center
Congratulations to Pam Justice, STNA, as having been selected the Employee of the Month at Main Street Care Center. Pam has worked as an STNA for 15 years and been doing Scheduling for 7 years. She has been employed at Main Street Care Center since March 2009. Pam states that she enjoys working at MSCC and has learned a lot since starting here. Pam enjoys interacting with the residents and is grateful for the opportunity to be working with such a supportive team of
co-workers. Pam is very conscientious and approaches her challenging responsibilities with a very positive attitude. She is always trying her best to accommodate the many staff scheduling requests and prides herself in being fair. These past few months, Pam has accepted even more responsibilities and can often be found working in the Business Office. Pam’s quiet and pleasant demeanor makes her a delight to work with. Pam exceeds expectations every single day and is a great asset to our team!
Monica Rapitis - Anchor Lodge
Anchor Lodge is pleased to announce the Employee of the Month of January 2012. We congratulate Monica Rapitis, our activity assistant in the assisted living. Monica has quite the reputation with our residents. They all speak very highly of her. Monica is dedicated not only to her job but to her residents' needs. She wears her heart on her sleeve. Monica excels in her customer service as well. She is always greeting with a warm smile. Monica provides outstanding performance in her duties and more. She is willing to help in all departments or wherever a need arises. Monica has wonderful activity ideas and implements them for the benefit of the residents. Quality of life is Monica's goal when encouraging residents to participate in activity programs. Congratulations Monica on a job well done and we are proud to have you as part of the Anchor Lodge team!

Connie Ocasio - Anchor Lodge
Congratulations to Connie Ocasio, LPN on being nominated Anchor Lodge's December Employee of the Month! Connie began her career at Anchor Lodge in January 1994 as an STNA while she pursued her education to become a Licensed Practical Nurse. Connie is a dedicated Nurse who excels in customer service. Not only does Connie provide excellent nursing care, she is patient, kind and willing to take extra steps to insure both the residents and their family members are well taken care of, even if this means stepping outside of her department. It is no surprise that Connie is a favorite among our residents and their family members. Congratulations Connie and thank you for a job well done!
Kimberly Parker - Amherst Manor
Amherst Manor is proud to recognize our December Employee of the Month, Kimberly Parker, STNA. Kim has been a part of the Amherst Manor nursing team since February of 2009. She has an excellent work ethic, and is a focused and caring part of our staff. Kim works primarily with our dementia residents, and displays patience, empathy and a sense of humor in delivering their care. Her co-workers describe her as a strong and essential part of the team, and she provides the extra attention and care that makes our residents feel special and loved. Kim stands out as a great example for others and an asset to the group of caring professionals who deliver direct care at Amherst Manor. John Antonetti - Heather Knoll
Heather Knoll announces their Employee of the Month for December 2011, John Antonetti. John is a member of our Housekeeping Dept. He has been at Heather Knoll for almost a year. John has become a very important part of the housekeeping team and does a wonderful job at completing his assigned tasks. He also finds time to chat with residents while making sure all of the floors are done on a regular basis. Not only does he do the floors, but in August he also started working in our Dietary Department part-time. If you see John, please let him know how much we appreciate him and the good job he does here at Heather Knoll. Thank you John for being such a valued member of our team, congratulations!!
Karen Rehm - Horn Nursing
Congratulations to Karen Rehm, STNA, for being nominated Horn Nursing Center’s December Employee of the Month. Karen became an STNA right out of high school and began working here at Horn at the age of 18. She worked here for 30 years before she left for a while and then came back. Currently, she has been working at Horn for 3 years and plans on staying here until retirement. Karen loves her job and states that she truly enjoys taking care of the elderly and loves that she gets to work with her sister Rhonda and other friends. Karen is a very hard worker and exceeds expectations. Once again, congratulations Karen! We appreciate all of your hard work, dedication, and the love you show our residents!
Dana Owens - Elms Retirement Village
Dana Owens has been selected as December Employee of the Month at Elms. She has been employed at the Elms since 1993 while in high school. Dana started as an aide in the Nursing Home and now wears many different hats throughout the week. She works in Medical Records and Scheduling. Dana states, “I enjoy new challenges, learning new things and working with people, solving an issue or two for someone makes my day.” Dana is a wonderful influence on others. She enjoys working with all the residents and staff here at the Elms and enjoys the new challenges. Dana is one busy lady. Congratulations Dana in a job well done!
Timothy Hagerman - Autumn Aegis
Autumn Aegis is pleased to announce that Tim Hagerman, Dietary Aide, is our Employee for the Month of December. Tim celebrated six years at Autumn Aegis in November. He always makes time to help everyone. His excellent customer service skills are appreciated by residents, family and staff alike. His coworkers describe him as, “A by the book team player who is kind and dependable.” Congratulations, Tim, and thank you for all your hard work and dedication.
Bill Rivera - Towne Center
Congratulations to Bill Rivera, Employee of the Month of December at Towne Center. For 32 years Bill worked for Ford in various positions including spot welder, arc welder, and then later became a lift driver and tow motor operator. After retiring from Ford in 2006, Bill decided he wanted to continue working. He completed an application at Towne Center and joined our staff shortly thereafter. Now Bill works second shift in housekeeping. Bill states that the thing he likes most about working here at Main Street Care Center, is that “It is a safe environment and I am treated very nicely by every person here.” Bill adds that he would like to thank Racheal Clark and Mary Beth Bouhall for the opportunity to work here. Bill is an excellent asset to our Towne Center team!
Tammy Patton - Smithville Western
Congratulations to Tammy Patton, STNA, for being selected Employee of the Month at Smithville Western Commons. Tammy joined our team over a year ago. In that year she has shown that she is hard working and provides quality care and services to her residents at all times. Residents look forward to talking to her and sharing stories. Tammy takes great pride in her work everyday. Thanks for all you do Tammy and keep up the good work.
